Hi, I’m Rylee

I'm the founder of Seattle Pet Concierge and a lifelong lover of all animals. I never intended to start my own pet sitting business, but it's where life's path has taken me. I'm a hospitality professional with over 20 years of experience in events, marketing, and leadership, and I have a degree in digital design. Pet sitting has always been something I did alongside my professional career, but now it has become a business of its own, built on the same care and attention to detail I've brought to every guest experience.

How It All Started…

In 2024, I lost my best friend of twelve and a half years. Kato was with me through so many phases of my life, and when I had to say goodbye to him I was left with a massive void. I knew I wouldn't be able to fill it, and I wasn't ready to adopt a dog. So, I decided to start welcoming other people's pets into my life as a way to help me through the transition. That experience is part of why I care so deeply about treating your pet like my own.

Trust & Care

My English Bulldog, Kato, started experiencing health problems at just two years old. Over the next ten years, we went through countless veterinarian visits, health scares, diagnoses, and surgeries together. It was overwhelming at times, but nothing mattered more to me than making sure he felt cared for and comfortable. That experience taught me firsthand what it takes to care for a pet with ongoing health needs, patience, attentiveness, and a willingness to adapt. It's a big part of why I feel genuinely equipped to care for senior pets and pets with special needs, not just as a service I offer, but as something I understand deeply.

Not Just My Own

My connection to caring for animals goes back far beyond Kato. Today, that includes my niblings, Huck, June, and Lieutenant Dan, all of whom I help care for regularly. Lieutenant Dan (Louie) lives with IVDD and gets around in a wheelchair, giving me hands-on, ongoing experience with mobility-related care. My experience with special needs pets has never been limited to just one dog; over the years, I've met and cared for pets with all kinds of needs, and each one has taught me something new about patience, adaptability, and what real care looks like. In 2019, I even had the joy of helping deliver a litter of puppies.

Once I started caring for people’s pets, my client list started to grow by word of mouth, and I found myself caring for pets on a very regular basis. Since I was doing something I genuinely love, I figured it was time to make it official, that’s where Seattle Pet Concierge was born.
